【 Weak current College 】 digital compact cassette deck---Power By 【 China power house network 】

Digital compact cassette decks (DCC) using a fixed magnetic tape recorders, home stereo format designed to replace the analog mini cassette decks. Its design philosophy and DAT almost contemporaries, was in the mid-1980s, when the two formats is R-DAT and S-DAT (representing rotary heads and fixed head). Sony's earliest S-DAT equipment and Philips for DCC only minor details, there are some differences.
Tape speed and simulation of deck (1.875 inches per second), this speed is too slow, can not meet each audio channel separate track one standard data rates. Instead, it uses a 4: 1 data reduction system (known as PASC – precise adaptation subband coding) to the number of the data, and then by 8 parallel tape track them equally. 9 digital track with auxiliary and subcode information, such as timing and track name.
DCC's head group has three group head: 9 185 µm wide digital recording heads, 9 70 microns wide digital playback head, there are 2 600 microns wide analog playback head. Recording heads than the playback head to width of 2 times, so that only the calibration of the device will not appear too big a problem, simulation of magnetic heads can make standard mini cassette deck can also play on the same device.
And analog decks, DCC is double-sided, but in itself cannot be overturned. On the contrary, DCC equipment either have two independent groups, while a magnetic head; either only one head group direct rollover is the B sides.
DCC although integrates advanced science and technology, but is difficult in a domestic market takes up the limelight, because consumers have become accustomed to using access convenient and affordable CD or mini album. Although it sound good, but the DCC usage data reduction systems let some people suspicious.
